Todd Frazier
Assistant Conductor

Todd was born in Scotsdale, Arizona, and raised in southwest Iowa, the son of a band director. He began his music career as a percussionist, but switched to French horn in seventh grade. He is now quite active as a performer, playing in the Rainier Symphony, the Black Diamond Brass, and other orchestras in the area on a guest basis.

After receiving a degree in Music Education from Northern Arizona University, Todd worked as a music teacher in various school districts in Arizona and Kansas. Todd and his family came to the northwest so he could work for several years at a computer systems firm in North Bend. He eventually returned to education, and is currently teaching special needs students at the Children’s Institute for Learning Differences in Renton.

He resides with his wife Leslie (who plays bass clarinet in our band). They have three children: Lee who is engaged, two married daughters - Heather and Holly, and a grandson. Todd enjoys computer-aided recording, golf, and science fiction, in addition to his musical pursuits.
